10 Stupid Laws All Around the World

  1. In Venice, Italy, it has been illegal to die since 1173. I don’t know what the punishment is, but I guess that they cannot give you a fine in heaven. It’s the stupidest law that I have ever heard.
  2. In Russia it is illegal to say any sentence containing more than 4 words in English. How do translators translate? How do singers sing at international contests? How do children learn English in schools? It’s a stupid law.
  3. In Alaska, United States, there is a stupid law that says that eating a neighbor’s baby is strictly forbidden. WTF!? Who eats babies? I understand from this law that you are allowed to eat your own baby.
  4. In China, you may have only one child. If you have two or more, you will get a massive fine. I have read that they have changed this rule: If your first born is a girl you are allowed to have a second baby.
  5. In Iowa, United States, you may shoot Native Americans if there are more than five of them on your property at any one time. Maybe there should be a law which says that if there are more than 3 stupid people on your property you should be able to shoot them.
  6. In Singapore, it’s illegal to carry a Bible or to talk to anyone about Jesus Christ. It’s probably true, but it’s stupid to say to someone what religion should he or she have and promote.
  7. In Arkansas, United States, a man can legally beat his wife, but not more than once a month. It’s stupid and I’m sure that whoever wrote his law used to beat his wife and wanted to be sure that he’s not going to jail.
  8. In Florida, United States, it is considered an offense to shower naked. This is a very good law for the ones who do not shower. It’s stupid for the rest of us. I wonder if wearing a condom counts.
  9. In Louisiana, United States, the use of cash has been outlawed. It’s stupid and I think that this was written in order for the state to know every move we make.
  10. In West Virginia, United States, there is a law that says that no children may attend school with their breath smelling of “wild onions”. Is there someone who smells them when they enter the school?
